The Role

  • Manage the holistic Linklaters provision of cloud, network, application and data platforms.
  • Deliver the end to end lifecycle management of the portfolio of technology services incorporating the introduction of new services, changes inside the lifecycle and service retirement.
  • Pursue improvements to the capability and maturity of all aspects of the technology portfolio and drive improvement in the quality and outcomes of interactions within both the peer technology teams and the wider organisation.
  • Own the delivery of budgeting, estimating, planning, developing and delivering the portfolio of technology services and systems. Align the technology portfolio to clearly stated organisational and financial goals and performance targets in a way that ensures the contribution of the technology services portfolio to organisational success.
  • Manage the performance of people, systems and services in terms of their contribution to business outcomes, financial costs and sustainability and take corrective action where necessary.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure that services are developed and managed to meet agreed service levels (including extended hours support), security requirements and other quality standards.
  • Set strategy for the managed portfolio of services. Promote the "view for the future" opportunities that technology offers the organisation including change and its likely impact.
  • Be part of the team investigating how AI can shape the future of the organisation.

About You

  • Experience at delivering services to a global user base, including across Asia, North America and Middle East.
  • Must have hands on experience in a 24x7 operational environment.
  • In-depth technical expertise and understanding Azure associated technologies.
  • Modern service support; experience at working within an ITIL service delivery framework.
  • Hands on experience of management large international teams, skills development and resource forecasting.
  • Experienced and confident in managing senior stakeholders during service issues and obtaining buy into complex solutions and ideas.
  • Highly experienced with large scale global migrations without impact to business operations.

The Team

Linklaters is on an exciting journey to modernize its technology platforms and services, including the introduction of GenAI, Data and Machine Learning platforms to further grow the business.

As part of this journey, a modern infrastructure roadmap has been developed and a key component is the build and migration to the Linklaters Cloud and Data platform. The platform will grow to include GenAI, Data, ML and other tech capabilities, which this role will be a key part of the operational take on of.

The larger roadmap includes migration to evolving the Digital Workplace experience for our user vase, evolution of modern service management capabilities and transformation of our application estate. This is a multi-year program that has support and investment to truly deliver a world class next generation set of platforms to a fast growing, global business.
