Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Lead Oracle Database Administrator Developer you will serve as a client-facing practitioner who leads and implements expert services utilizing the breadth of IBM's offerings and technologies. A successful Lead DBA is regarded by clients as a trusted business advisor who collaborates to provide innovative solutions used to solve the most challenging business problems.

You will work developing solutions that excel at user experience, style, performance, reliability and scalability to reduce costs and improve profit and shareholder value.

Your primary responsibilities include:

• Creates and maintains Oracle databases and Oracle Enterprise Applications like, but not limited to, EBusiness, Peoplesoft, JDEdwards, Hyperion, OBIEE, Weblogic and Retek.
• Performs the capacity planning required to create and maintain the applications and databases.
• Is aware and has experience on various tools needed to manage and administrate Oracle applications and databases.
• Performs ongoing tuning of the enterprise application environments, Plans and implements backup and recovery, controls migrations of applications, database changes, configuration data changes and menu changes.
• Implements and enforces security for all of the Oracle Applications.
• Enforces standards to ensure that all application design and code is produced with proper integrity, security and performance. Identifies and Analyzes necessary Oracle patches to keep applications up to date.
• Troubleshoots problems regarding the databases, applications and administration tools, often interacting with Oracle for high impact / severity issues.
• Understands technology relationships and best practices required for highly available infrastructure, load balancing, application clusters, access management and application deploy processes.
