Job Description

Purpose of the role

To implement data quality process and procedures, ensuring that data is reliable and trustworthy, then extract actionable insights from it to help the organisation improve its operation, and optimise resources.

Accountabilities

  • Investigation and analysis of data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative source identification.
  • Execution of data cleansing and transformation tasks to prepare data for analysis.
  • Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
  • Development and application of advanced analytical techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve complex business problems.
  • Documentation of data quality findings and recommendations for improvement.

Join us as an Investment Banking Client Data Analyst at Barclays. In this role you will be responsible for the implementation of data quality process and procedures, ensuring that data is reliable and trustworthy, then extract actionable insights from it to help the organisation improve its operation and optimise resources. You will perform analysis within the Client Data Management Design Team, to perform strategic data analysis, data modelling, operations process design and support the development of client data business cases.

To be successful as an Investment Banking Client Data Analyst, you should have experience with:

  • Driving a consistent approach and principles for managing and using client data across the business and Partnering with stakeholders to drive improvements in the understanding, use and quality of data.
  • Data design, logical modelling and remediation of client data, with ability to perform logical data modelling (e.g. ERWIN, Archi, MagicDraw).
  • Capturing business requirements and translate into technical data requirements, identifying problems within systems and processes, understanding the root causes, and implementing effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently, managing your own tasks and responsibilities efficiently without constant supervision.

Some other highly valued skills may include:

  • Strong understanding of the Salesforce, including its functionalities and common issues, to effectively troubleshoot and optimise its use.
  • Analytical literacy within a complex e2e architecture and data analysis tooling Python, R, SQL.
  • Knowledge of Investment Bank business and related client data flows.
  • Experience in data and operating model process re-engineering and ownership with exposure to data integration design strategies for both internal and external customer usage.
