About the Team
This role will be part of the team called "EUI Regional Commercial Legal". We are a full service commercial and corporate support team supporting TikTok across the UK, Ireland, continental Europe and Israel (and for digital infrastructure across Africa and the Middle East as well). We also support CapCut and various BytePlus Enterprise products.
Responsibilities
- Draft, negotiate, and finalize the full suite of contracts (including financing, leasing, design, construction and procurement) related to the establishment of purpose built data centres
- Negotiate agreements with suppliers of dark fibre, lit fibre, colocation and server integration services across EMEA
- Advise on laws and regulations (including environmental) relating to digital systems infrastructure across EMEA and partner with legal stakeholders in other regions to drive the development and roll-out of standard policies and template agreements
- Distill complex information to deliver clear, precise and pragmatic advice to the business and support senior leadership, including in relation to decisions for strategically significant data systems infrastructure projects
- Engage with governmental bodies, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to advocate and represent the company's interests in relation to digital systems infrastructure development
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong post-qualification experience in-house and/or in a reputable law firm working in the technology field
- Experience in providing legal support for complex digital infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and advising on risk management.
- Experience of working collaboratively to develop new documentation and best practices and experience of implementing legal processes in a fast-paced international environment which enables the business to scale
