Junior Data Analyst (BJ-14273)

Onyx Capital Group seeks a Junior Data Analyst to join its Insights Research team within the company's Advisory function. The position will support current and development work related to the Research team's report production and data processes. On the job training will be provided to get up-to-speed with both the technology and industry knowledge.

Your responsibilities would include:

· Maintaining and improving scripts and backend data using DataBricks and SQL to automate Onyx Research team's publications

· Participating in development projects related to new publications and data repositories as the Research team's output grows

· Participating in developing new quantitative analysis projects for the Research Team and Quantitative Traders

Requirements

· Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics, or engineering

· The candidate must possess strong coding skills in Python and have knowledge of SQL. Proficiency in Microsoft Azure (Data Factory, DevOps, Storage), Databricks, Delta Lake, and Plotly Dash Enterprise would be beneficial but is not required

· Graduate or junior experience in a data science department in financial services, consultancy, or related fields is desirable but not required

· Perseverance to work through frequent daily tasks demanding speed and accuracy alongside longer independent projects

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Detail-oriented and organised

· Team-oriented but able to work autonomously as required in a fast-paced environment, prioritising and planning accordingly

· Ability to meet tight deadlines with precision and rigor
