The Role:

We are seeking a talented and driven Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing raw data, building scalable and reusable data pipelines, and developing cloud-native data warehousing solutions. You will collaborate with various business and technical teams to assess their needs and deliver cutting-edge data engineering solutions that drive functionality and value.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and organize raw data.
  • Evaluate business needs and objectives and propose data engineering solutions in line with requirements.
  • Build reusable data pipelines to convert the raw data into data products using ETL / ELT tools.
  • Build reusable cloud-native data warehousing solutions
  • Manage data, metadata and pipeline stability.
  • Work with data analytics experts and SMEs to strive for greater functionality in data solution
  • Work with Stakeholders including Business, Product, Data and Design teams.


What we're looking for in our applicants:

  • Between 3 and 5 years of experience in similar roles
  • Proficient in writing complex SQL, Stored Procedures
  • Intermediate Level in Python Programming
  • Previous working experience with Starburst will be a differential.
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools.
  • Proficient in performing root cause analysis of existing models and proposing a solution.
  • Strong time management skills: efficient at multi-tasking and able to work under pressure.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • London-based - Hybrid model = 3 days per week in the office.


Good to have:

  • Knowledge of tools such as Talend / Informatica / DBT is a plus
  • Experience in industries such as banking, insurance, and brokers is a plus
  • Exposure to Azure Data Services such as ADLS, Azure Synapse Analytics etc. is a plus
  • Familiarity with Snowflake
  • Working experience of cloud computing architecture is a plus
  • Exposure to Kubernetes / Containerization of Data Pipelines will be an added advantage.
