As our Reporting Analyst you will be responsible for producing multiple operational and internal customer reports across Sherwin Business Services operations. Reports are run against a strict timetable and must be accurate and accompanied by commentary and explanations to provide insight to the recipients.

Ideally you will be enthusiastic, excited to learn and have an analytical and enquiring mind with the ability to manipulate data from multiple complex sources is required.

Awareness of new techniques and tools is required as we continuously look to become more automated and efficient.

This role is based at Witney, Oxfordshire one day a week with working from home on the other days.

Reporting

  • Ensure reports are complete, accurate and delivered to stakeholders to a planned schedule.
  • Review raw data and ensure integrity of reports
  • Maintain 'how-to-do' notes to ensure they are up-to-date
  • Monitor organizational change and ensure reports accurately reflect services and entities supported
  • Constantly review opportunities for automation of reports

Analytics & Insights

  • Able to analyze and add informed commentary to provide insight on reports
  • Challenge use of reports to ensure value add and they are reaching their target audience
  • Able to identify trends, anomalies and key drivers that impact data

Relationships

  • Work effectively with team members across Global time zones
  • Build strong relationships internally within SBS and internal customers
  • Ensure engagement with IT partners on ongoing challenges and developments
  • Collaborate cross functionally internally and externally, and with US HQ

Audits

  • Support internal and external audit reporting requirements
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests with fast turnarounds required

Transitions

  • Support transitions data requirements as part of due diligence
  • Assess reporting needs to ensure reporting at go live
  • Establish baseline performance data to help benchmark processes
  • Part qualified accountant or qualified accountant or other relevant professional qualification (e.g. CICM, AAT) / Finance or business-related degree preferred but not essential
  • Strong attention to details
  • Strong numeracy skills
  • Excel expert level, proficient in functions and charts, including pivot tables and lookups
  • Has worked with complex processes and cross functional teams
  • Comfortable working across multiple systems and technologies
  • Well organized, can work independently
  • Analytical and enquiring mind
  • Ability to manipulate data from multiple complex sources.
  • Can do attitude, always striving for improvement and innovation

Preferred:

  • Technology aware, can manipulate or learn quickly digital tools and other automation solutions starting with Microsoft Office 365 pack
  • Oracle experience would be highly beneficial
