The Data Analyst supports the collection, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data to support the Entain group's strategic decision making.

Key responsibilities

Main:

• Supports the acquisition, processing, integration, and cleaning of data from multiple sources.

• Uses a variety of tools to automate data collection and assists in the building of data dashboards / reports / models.

• Uses a variety of tools to automate data collection and build data products guided by procedures.

• Undertakes initial data investigation and data analysis in order to identify trends/relationships/predictive/prognostic outputs in data.

• Supports the presentation of data insights to relevant stakeholders for planning and decision support.

• Supports in the implementation of ways to improve working processes within the area of data analytics/science.

• Uses existing procedures and analysis of information to solve standard problems.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Data Analysis (2); Interpreting, cleaning, transforming, and deriving meaningful insights from complex datasets using statistical, computational, and visualization techniques to inform decision-making and drive actionable outcomes.

• Programming / Scripting (2); The process of writing instructions for computers to perform specific tasks or operations, enabling automation and software development.

• Storytelling (1); The art of communicating complex data insights and findings by blending data analysis with compelling narratives and visualizations, making data-driven information more accessible, engaging, and understandable to diverse audiences.

• Decision Support (1); Models data with the aim of supporting the strategic decision making process.

• Business Intelligence Reporting (1); The creation and presentation of data-driven summaries, visualizations, and analyses to support informed business decisions and improve organizational performance.

• Database Design / Development (2); The expertise in creating well-structured, efficient, and secure databases that cater to the organization's data requirements, including designing schemas, defining relationships, optimizing performance, and implementing robust data management solutions.

• Statistical Analysis (2); Collects and interprets data in order to uncover patterns and trends.

• Project / Programme Management (1); Planning, organising, and overseeing tasks, resources, and timelines to achieve specific objectives and deliver successful outcomes within a defined scope.

• Agile Methodologies (1); A set of adaptive and collaborative approaches to project management and software development that prioritize flexibility, customer involvement, and iterative progress.

• Data Visualisation (2); The proficiency in transforming raw data into meaningful and visually engaging representations, such as charts, graphs, and infographics, that facilitate understanding, highlight patterns, and convey insights to support effective communication and decision-making.

• Data Modelling (1); Creating structured representations (models) of an organization's data to depict relationships, entities, attributes, and constraints, facilitating clear understanding and efficient management of data within databases or information systems.

• Data Quality Management (1); Employs processes, methods, and technologies to ensure the quality of the data meets specific business requirements.

• Data Dashboards (2); A visual representation of key performance indicators (KPIs) and other relevant data points that provide a quick and consolidated view of an organization's performance or specific activities. These dashboards are designed to enable users to monitor, analyze, and understand complex information in a simplified and easily digestible forma

• Requirements Analysis (1); Verifies that solutions will meets business and operational requirements and that the solution fits into a larger architectural strategy and underlying infrastructure.

• Requirements Gathering (1); Determining user expectations for a new or modified product.
